Is Nis Safe for Women? Crime Rate in Nis

Its a safe place, but i overthink. A lot of things happend in past. However i think you cd walk around almost 99% sure you won't get hurt. I walk alone at night and i feel totally safe. So does my other female friends anf family.

I would say it is pretty safe. In my personal opinion it is safe, u do not remember when I had felt unsafe. Yes, there has been a few incidents over the years but not as much as in some other countries. Things like that are rare here

i’ve been living here my whole life and as far as i can tell it is a much safer city than one of the big ones like Belgrade or novi sad. you are more to hear about vandalism and fighting, but they are very rare

Niš is a very safe city in Serbia. People are very warm and welcoming, and they're always open to help. Racism is really really low. It's a city with a lot of faculties so there's a lot of young people. Taxis are safe and not very expensive. Public transportation is also safe. If you're clubbing, there's a chance that a fight happens, but nobody will hurt you.

Solo travel

Nis is wonderful. It's safe and interesting (for such a small town), many people speak English, and almost every bar and pub has live music in the evenings. I recommend visiting the Stambolijski restaurant - it's cheap, and the food and service are phenomenal.
