I would say it is pretty safe. In my personal opinion it is safe, u do not remember when I had felt unsafe. Yes, there has been a few incidents over the years but not as much as in some other countries. Things like that are rare here
Posted: January 16, 2025i’ve been living here my whole life and as far as i can tell it is a much safer city than one of the big ones like Belgrade or novi sad. you are more to hear about vandalism and fighting, but they are very rare
Posted: January 5, 2025Niš is a very safe city in Serbia. People are very warm and welcoming, and they're always open to help. Racism is really really low. It's a city with a lot of faculties so there's a lot of young people. Taxis are safe and not very expensive. Public transportation is also safe. If you're clubbing, there's a chance that a fight happens, but nobody will hurt you.
Posted: December 24, 2024Nis is wonderful. It's safe and interesting (for such a small town), many people speak English, and almost every bar and pub has live music in the evenings. I recommend visiting the Stambolijski restaurant - it's cheap, and the food and service are phenomenal.

Hi, my name is Marija. Born and spend most of my life in Nis, Serbia. I do love to travel and I do like to rilex, so I found a way to mix the two. I enjoy short trips - up to seven days, enough to explore the city and learn about its history, and have time to just learn the people. So, I hope we meet sometime in the future.
