Lagos, Portugal is a pretty safe place during the day you must keep an eye on yourself and try to behave and not to mess around. During the evening I’d say you should be careful especially if you are traveling by your own

Solo travel

During my stay at Lagos I stayed at a Hostel called Buddha Bee. The hosts were really nice and helpful. There were predominantly female guests and the hostel was a very homey vibe which made me feel comfortable. Good security on the front door and bedroom doors too. Lagos overall is quite chill beach vibe. I wasn’t out late on too many occasions but if I was alone I might feel a little nervous as there are lots of small alleyways. Luckily I met people from my hostel and we hung out together. At the beach, felt super comfortable.

Lagos was an amazing experience, the beautiful landscape paired with the kindness of the locals made me feel so safe. It was very easy to meet people and make friends. I stayed at Orange3 hostel and it was walking distance to everything. Highly recommend adding this to your list of places to visit!
