I believe Braga is a pretty safe place to visit as long as you take standard precautions. Please be aware of your surroundings, you never know what or who may appear! Most people will be kind to you, and there’s lots of delicious places to eat. I hope you enjoy your stay!

Town is small and calm. It look pretty harmless for me. There are lots of students around during the night like me, so I don't feel uncomfortable. I also love to run in the park at night, never notices something g suspicious or odd. Neither in the bars and clubs.
Posted: January 1, 2025It used to be safer in the past. Walking alone at night is not advisable if outside the city center or in low-lit areas. Usually women do not walk alone at night, so this might also help explain my feedback. I don’t believe anything serious would happen, but I wouldn’t feel safe going out at night alone for example
Posted: August 22, 2024Braga is overall a very safe city. Although I don’t advise to walk alone at night in areas surrounding the city center (even though I do it some times). Lately has been happening some attempts against women. The city during the day is very safe, the public transportation is also very safe, there aren’t a lot of pickpockets and if you forget something in your Uber there is a 80% probability of having it back.
