It used to be safer in the past. Walking alone at night is not advisable if outside the city center or in low-lit areas. Usually women do not walk alone at night, so this might also help explain my feedback. I don’t believe anything serious would happen, but I wouldn’t feel safe going out at night alone for example
Posted: August 22, 2024Braga is overall a very safe city. Although I don’t advise to walk alone at night in areas surrounding the city center (even though I do it some times). Lately has been happening some attempts against women. The city during the day is very safe, the public transportation is also very safe, there aren’t a lot of pickpockets and if you forget something in your Uber there is a 80% probability of having it back.
