It totally depends on which city or area you're in, like in karachi, lahore people get mogged, robbed or you can get harassed. I myself being a local have experienced people touching intentionally in the market or crowded places.but there are areas that are safe and secure. but if you visit northern pakistan, its very safe in every way.
Posted: July 30, 2025To be honest Pakistan is not safe for lonely womens..otherwise its safe ..Pakistan has a growing number of women’s rights activists, safe spaces, and awareness campaigns pushing for change. Safety is improving gradually, especially in cities, but much work is needed.
Posted: July 28, 2025Its fairly safe i think in the day light. Men stare and thats enough to make you uncomfortable. But the night time outside is a big no no. But since the night life in pakistan is not that alive, we dont go out very late. Its getting better with the safety of woman but i woukd still say a long way to go
Posted: July 14, 2025I’ve spent last seven year of my life in the city and I could without a doubt say that this is one of the safest cities for women in Pakistan. I feel safe while walking alone at night and commuting around.

It's the Capital of Pakistan and overall security is good. However self precautionary measures are required like not trusting random strangers at the street. It's pretty safe to walk around even in the night but still consider the area you are in.

Islamabad is considered to be the aafest city of Pakistan, particularly because it is the capital. sectors like f8/f10/f11, I8 and e11 are considered to be VERY safe. however, i would still be a bit careful in more unpopular places like G/H sectors.

Posted: May 14, 2025Experienced: April, 2024Last year I went to Chitral (the Kalash valley) to be more exact and sad to report but the government has to do a lot to promote safe solo travel for women. I attended the chilam Joshi festival and although I went with a travel group, still at times I felt a bit unsafe amongst the locals. Also, the festival has become very commercialised... I wouldn't going as a solo woman traveller but women can go with a group.
