Posted: May 14, 2025Experienced: April, 2024Last year I went to Chitral (the Kalash valley) to be more exact and sad to report but the government has to do a lot to promote safe solo travel for women. I attended the chilam Joshi festival and although I went with a travel group, still at times I felt a bit unsafe amongst the locals. Also, the festival has become very commercialised... I wouldn't going as a solo woman traveller but women can go with a group.
Posted: March 16, 2024There were a lot of things to do and it was easier on the budget — I felt safe but also keep in mind I traveled with a group and also speak the local language. From hiking to shopping to eating, there were always many things to do and I had the best time
Posted: November 24, 2023Pakistan is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. The people are incredibly polite, everyone wants to take a selfie, the food is delicious, the prices are low, and most importantly, we felt very safe there. It's a place where tourism is not fully developed yet, which is a huge plus, because everything is still so natural. Nothing is specially prepared for tourists.

In daylight u can travel to public places /crowded areas without any fear of being robbed/harassed but you’ll have to go thru some people (men )staring into your soul everywhere whether it be school/college/workplace /shopping malls And yes after the dawn you should try staying at home, its more safer like this.
