Amazing experience, loved it all. Enjoyed a lot. My son was super excited. Duento GPS everything was easy to find. Reservations made meal times convenient. There are expensive and cheap food, shopping options, commute options, etc. Will definitely go again.

But it's amazing people and food in Pakistan!!! Only what I didn't like you always should pass that checkpoints and show your passport and visa... Majority of my travels was North Pakistan like Gilgit, Chitral. Most not comfortable things was in the north because of landslides and you should wait when we clean up and you some kind of stuck and if you have airplane or bus... you are going to be waiting until you can go by the road... It was unexpected slowly 🥴

It was a great experiences being on this side of Pakistan never had a chance before to explore this city but now as I'm living here full time it's so much to explore and enjoy in here hope to find some good friends here too 💕
Posted: May 14, 2025Experienced: April, 2024Last year I went to Chitral (the Kalash valley) to be more exact and sad to report but the government has to do a lot to promote safe solo travel for women. I attended the chilam Joshi festival and although I went with a travel group, still at times I felt a bit unsafe amongst the locals. Also, the festival has become very commercialised... I wouldn't going as a solo woman traveller but women can go with a group.

Been living here my whole life, often travel alone if needed, son goes to school on local transport. Never had any issues. People are kind and helpful. The local police and public service departments are vigilant.

My city is safe relatively since people are more aware now and try to take care of each other. Plus i have travelled alone alot in my city for courses and university and for jobs as well, i did not face much trouble but obviously there will be men always that will stare. I’ve done night shifts as well but one good thing about lahore is that people dont sleep here so night time isnt really scary.
Posted: April 24, 2026It usually safe expect for robbery cases have seen raise since last Ramadan and woman hate crimes, which were also highlighted in the news channel (very low) especially if you are traveling in the city area, that is quite safe, the red area which is also security sensitive, most of the diplomats and ambassadors live here,

I have lived in Islamabad for 33 years. I have traveled alone during the day and night and haven't felt unsafe. I try to stick to more populated areas though, and steer clear of lesser populated areas

I am a desi girl passionate about art and women's empowerment. I volunteer with NGOs for women's and animal rights. After moving to Lahore a year ago, I found it challenging to navigate the city alone as a female but discovered supportive communities that helped. I want to give back by assisting any woman in need.
