Vilnius is a pretty quiet city, usually after 9-10 pm there are few people on the streets, some harassment can happen in the city center, where there are many pubs and bars. In general, men here do not meet on the streets and do not harass.

Vilnius is quite safe city in most places, although Vilnius street and other party streets late at night might be unsafe, because of the drunk men, so I would avoid it. And sometimes there might be drunk men on bus, but they usually don’t bother you, or if they do you can go to the bus driver and they will help.

I’ve never felt dangerous here, people are a tad colder emotionally here, but they’re still welcoming:) Never gotten anything stolen or anything like that. You’re almost never approached on the streets.
Posted: December 10, 2024Vilnius is calm, safe and sound. People rarely look at you and you can stroll around the streets of the old town at night without a worry. The only place that could feel a bit unsafe is around the main train station, as it's still not fully gentrified.
Posted: August 20, 2024Vilnius is a safe place to visit. People are friendly and honest. Crimes are not often thing except at night clubs. Night clubs is most dangerous places at Vilnius. People are loud here, but you don't have to be scared of that.
Posted: August 9, 2024Vilnius is an extremely safe city! Comparing to most western European cities you shouldn’t fear here! No pickpockets, experienced almost none catcalling experiences through my whole life living here, people are hospitable and friendly over here!

Vilnius is quite safe, with low levels of violent crime and a strong police presence. Most problems are minor, like pickpocketing in crowded spots. It's also considered safe for women, with no significant issues reported.
Posted: July 16, 2024It is generally safe to travel alone. While walking at night, I would carry a pepper spray just in case if you decide to explore sketchier areas that are located at least 10 kilometres from the city centre.
Posted: July 15, 2024I think that Vilnius is a very diverse city. It's full of young, multi-colored people who make you feel comfortable. Of course, there are places and districts where the level of crime is higher, but the main problem is alcohol. However, the city is modern, lights are everywhere, so it's really not scary to walk even in the dark.
Posted: July 14, 2024It is a pretty safe city, although you still have to be careful as in any situation and be wary of your surroundings. I walked around after midnight multiple times, it was peaceful. Haven't experienced any sexual harrassment or anything.

Vilnius is extremely safe, quiet city. Transportation is very comfortable and it is easy to get from one point to another. In 2 days, it is possible to complete the city tour. First day: the Church of St. Peter and Paul, Monument of Three Crosses, Gediminas Castle Tower and the second day Old Town and the churches, streets, squares in Old Town can be explored. Pilies Street, the Orthodox Church of Holy Spirit are must-see locations.

From my experience, I can tell that we overall felt safe during our trip, and were very excited about tourist sightseeings.
