Vilnius is calm, safe and sound. People rarely look at you and you can stroll around the streets of the old town at night without a worry. The only place that could feel a bit unsafe is around the main train station, as it's still not fully gentrified.
Posted: August 20, 2024Vilnius is a safe place to visit. People are friendly and honest. Crimes are not often thing except at night clubs. Night clubs is most dangerous places at Vilnius. People are loud here, but you don't have to be scared of that.
Posted: August 9, 2024Vilnius is an extremely safe city! Comparing to most western European cities you shouldn’t fear here! No pickpockets, experienced almost none catcalling experiences through my whole life living here, people are hospitable and friendly over here!

Vilnius is quite safe, with low levels of violent crime and a strong police presence. Most problems are minor, like pickpocketing in crowded spots. It's also considered safe for women, with no significant issues reported.
Posted: July 16, 2024It is generally safe to travel alone. While walking at night, I would carry a pepper spray just in case if you decide to explore sketchier areas that are located at least 10 kilometres from the city centre.
Posted: July 15, 2024I think that Vilnius is a very diverse city. It's full of young, multi-colored people who make you feel comfortable. Of course, there are places and districts where the level of crime is higher, but the main problem is alcohol. However, the city is modern, lights are everywhere, so it's really not scary to walk even in the dark.
Posted: July 14, 2024It is a pretty safe city, although you still have to be careful as in any situation and be wary of your surroundings. I walked around after midnight multiple times, it was peaceful. Haven't experienced any sexual harrassment or anything.
Posted: July 12, 2024Last crime i expereinced was mote than 10 years ago. Now only crimea are on the news, but usual ones; daily life is very safe in Vilnius; as a woman I am always worried about night life also unless i am in my own district I grew up in
Posted: July 11, 2024Vilnius in general is a super safe city , but of course you should be taking general safety rules - don’t walk alone late at night and keep you belongings close (especially in public transports). There are some areas in Vilnius that are less safe at night, like Naujininkai, so I would be taking taxi or walk with somebody else. In the center you can be safe even solo
Posted: July 10, 2024I feel like in comparison it’s quite a safe City. It has its more dangerous parts (I would say mainly area around train station), but overall the city feels safe. I’ve been walking around at night / late in the evening and hadnt felt unsafe. I’ve never had anything stolen as well

Vilnius is extremely safe, quiet city. Transportation is very comfortable and it is easy to get from one point to another. In 2 days, it is possible to complete the city tour. First day: the Church of St. Peter and Paul, Monument of Three Crosses, Gediminas Castle Tower and the second day Old Town and the churches, streets, squares in Old Town can be explored. Pilies Street, the Orthodox Church of Holy Spirit are must-see locations.
Posted: September 2, 2024Experienced: July, 2024I traveled to Vilnius with a group of friends and managed to stay there for 6 days. From my experience, I can tell that we overall felt safe during our trip, and were very excited about tourist sightseeings. Vilnius is a vibrant city with interesting spots, restaurants, history, people, and culture.

People say, that I'm an active person. Like nature, walking, visiting towns... Get up quite early and also go to bed before midnight. No night life. Don't smoke and don't like other people smoking.
