Vilnius is a pretty quiet city, usually after 9-10 pm there are few people on the streets, some harassment can happen in the city center, where there are many pubs and bars. In general, men here do not meet on the streets and do not harass.

Vilnius is quite safe city in most places, although Vilnius street and other party streets late at night might be unsafe, because of the drunk men, so I would avoid it. And sometimes there might be drunk men on bus, but they usually don’t bother you, or if they do you can go to the bus driver and they will help.

I’ve never felt dangerous here, people are a tad colder emotionally here, but they’re still welcoming:) Never gotten anything stolen or anything like that. You’re almost never approached on the streets.
Posted: December 10, 2024Lithuania is pretty safe country because our police force and department is strong and takes care of those things quickly. About sexual harassment and assaults I can say that in public it depends how you dress, if you dress ,,properly” then it’s less likely that someone will do or say something bad to you. But so people tend to be a bit racist….
Posted: November 12, 2024It is considered to be a pretty safe city and country too. Never had problems with locals, most of them speak English, so it’s easy to communicate, of course as long you behave properly and don’t cause disturb as everywhere

City centre is very safe. But be careful with older guys or young “street jerks”. Probably they just impolite:) Always use official platforms like Bolt for taxi. Public transport is very safe, you can sit in front, near driver. If something happens, call police they care;)
Posted: August 31, 2024Vilnius is calm, safe and sound. People rarely look at you and you can stroll around the streets of the old town at night without a worry. The only place that could feel a bit unsafe is around the main train station, as it's still not fully gentrified.

Marijampolė is very safe!! it's a small family city. i grew up in Zagreb, Croatia and i would not feel safe walking there alone at night, but here i do and it was very surprising to me to experience this.
Posted: August 14, 2024Vilnius is a safe place to visit. People are friendly and honest. Crimes are not often thing except at night clubs. Night clubs is most dangerous places at Vilnius. People are loud here, but you don't have to be scared of that.
Posted: August 9, 2024Klaipeda is safe as any other European city. You need to take general precautions, but in generally is is safe, especially in the city centre. You can walk at night and get into public transport safely

Vilnius is extremely safe, quiet city. Transportation is very comfortable and it is easy to get from one point to another. In 2 days, it is possible to complete the city tour. First day: the Church of St. Peter and Paul, Monument of Three Crosses, Gediminas Castle Tower and the second day Old Town and the churches, streets, squares in Old Town can be explored. Pilies Street, the Orthodox Church of Holy Spirit are must-see locations.

From my experience, I can tell that we overall felt safe during our trip, and were very excited about tourist sightseeings. Vilnius is a vibrant city with interesting spots, restaurants, history, people, and culture.
