How safe is Rio Cuarto?

Lourdes

Lourdes

I walk after dark almost every day between 12 AM and 1 AM, and nothing has ever happened to me. However, I always carry pepper spray and avoid carrying cash whenever possible. When I was around 15 years old, someone in a car harassed me, but it never happened again. I’ve been robbed twice: the first time, I was walking late at night in a very bad neighborhood with my phone out. The second time, I was in a much better area of the same neighborhood, but it was still late at night, and I was returning from a class. That incident turned physical. The main problem in my city is the gangs. When they organize thefts, the chances of being robbed increase significantly. On normal nights in my now downtown neighborhood, though, I’d say the chances of being robbed are less than 1%. This feels very low to me, but I still remain mindful because of my past experiences.

Hi! I'm 22 years old and live alone with Kira 🐈‍⬛ 6 mo ago I started working remote so exited to test my traveling freedom. I'm a huge nerd about longevity and tech. Love to hear stories and tell them, and to play any type of board games ♟ I enjoy all music but lately I'm into minimal techno and melodic songs.
