My zone is pretty safe, You just have to know wich parts of Buenos Aires You have to avoid. I love near Palermo, Paternal, Villa Crespo. But if you go to Constitución, San Telmo, La Boca, etc You have to take good care of yourself.

Buenos Aires is a safe city throughout the Capital Federal (or Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires) area. Everything related to the metropolitan area depends largely on the area. I don't recommend walking or going out alone after 8 p.m., unless you're in the city center.

buenos Aires is a very big city. Specially when you are in the center of the city, take care of your personal items and pockets. Be aware or your phone mostly. People are very friendly and will always be available to help you

Like any Big city, Buenos Aires can be crowded and there can be pickpocketters. Overall if You stay in the Nice neighborhoods like Palermo, Colegiales and nearby, there are lots of policemen, so there shouldn't be a problem.

Honestly, you do have to be careful, especially with the motorcycle thieves. I didn't feel very safe. It's quite dangerous from my perspective, but it's definitely a beautiful place. I recommend keeping your phone and wallet inside your clothes or in your bra so when they take your backpack, they don't steal anything important. The people there are very kind and polite, 10/10. My budget at the time was much lower and it was enough for several things. Now that the currency has gone down, I can't explain how much I spent and how expensive it was. I stayed at a relative's house; it wasn't as comfortable, but it was what I had. Getting around is fairly easy on the buses and trains; just ask for good directions; it's a big city!
