It depends on the place you are, but it's generally fine. You need to be careful as you would anywhere in the world. Prefer well-known and lively places like Val d'Hydra, Ben Aknoun, Hydra, Dely Brahim, Sidi Yahia, and Algiers Center.
Posted: April 17, 2025Idk because I don't take public transportation much, I don't live alone and I don't come home late at night so I'm not entirely sure..but Ik it's not the WORST but it's not the best either، all u have to do is be careful and stay away from suspicious people 🙂
Posted: April 1, 2025As someone who lived at Tlemcen for my entire life since I was born , I would say that for a man it would be an average experience, but for women I don't recommend it , you'll be sexually harassed by a lot of men outside as well as robbed , and at night it's even worse , so be careful!!!
Posted: March 23, 2025You can walk covered in gold and no one would actually care, its a safe town people are very hospital and kind and they love strangers and visitors, you're more likely to be offered free food or gifts if you're a visitor than if you're a local
Posted: January 26, 2025It si safe enough, but l wouldn’t say the safest city in the world. Yoi can get harassed, but things don’t escalate to rape to abuse for sure. Very hospitable people and friendly women all around, so no worriez at all
Posted: January 21, 2025I’d say it's a war-free area with really low crime rates, especially in our neighborhood. I’ve never heard of a house getting robbed, mostly just pickpocketing when it comes to phones, so be careful. Also, try to avoid revealing clothes because the culture is different. Maybe an upper belly crop top wouldn’t be a huge deal, but off-shoulder tops and especially mini and low-rise skirts may attract attention, and people might catcall you, so stay safe. Other than that, walking alone at night is safe to a certain extent, but if you visit small households, it’s better if there’s someone with you. Anyway, have fun! Algerians are really welcoming, so if they smile at you, it’s not weird; it just means they admire you. 😂♥️

It’s a safe place people always run to help each other so if something happens just scream help and every one is going to run to you also if u have real gold jewelry i advice you to not to wear them in public
Posted: January 17, 2025Annaba is a safe place you just need to take care of yourself and do not show your personal stuff, transports are usually safe there are Yassir indrive good apps and buses in dark it’s a bit unsafe ..
Posted: January 14, 2025It's a big city. It is pretty safe but you need to be smart and self aware, you better be conscious about your environment. Apart from that nothing to worry about. There are a lot of helpful people, the locals are generally nice.

Oran is the second largest city in Algeria. It has beautiful beaches and European buildings in the city center, but other areas are poor. Most Oranian people are affected by the struggling economy. Oran is not the best, but it's not the worst either. It is a mid-sized city with mixed conditions. Hopefully, someday we can achieve a modern lifestyle like in Eastern countries.

It was safe fun splendid . Nothing to say really. It’s not expensive at all and not very crowded.the Virgin Mary statue is pretty interesting to check out. Also moskes and ancient structures are worth the visit.

Algeria
I felt completely safe and at home while exploring la CASBAH. I highly recommend trying the haik, a traditional Algerian garment, and kheit errouh jewelry to fully embrace the cultural experience. The view from Stah El-Bahdja is breathtaking, and you can also enjoy delicious traditional food at reasonable prices. There are many historical houses worth visiting, each with its own unique story. I visited "Dar Lallahoum "with my sister and friend, took some pictures, and shared them. I strongly recommend visiting in a group you won’t regret it🥰

Hi sisters 🌹👑💎 My name is Amina, I’m 38, and I’m from Algeria. I am a strong believer in a world without borders so I’d love to meet up, explore, or even find a kind host during my journey. I’m planning to visit Córdoba, Málaga, Granada, and Sévilla, and I’d love to connect with locals or fellow travelers. A little about me: I work in diplomacy, love art therapy, painting, volunteering, hiking, yoga... I enjoy discovering new cultures, exploring nature, attending workshops and conferences and visiting museums and art galleries. Adventurely yours, 🥰
