Hola, Bonjour, Hello! I’m an explorer at heart and love getting to know new cultures, especially through meeting locals, learning of their history, and food. I grew up in the Dominican Republic and have lived in 10 cities in North America. I’m in Atlanta now but have lived in Toronto, NYC, and Denver to name a few popular places. Happy to give recommendations, or possibly host someone. Must love dogs though! I have 2 at home that would be there. I look forward to meeting fellow travelers.

Day trip to ATL - Atlanta, GA Visited the Delta Flight museum. Rented car for transport. Took the Tuesday 1 PM tour that was hosted by retired Delta employees who talked about the objects and planes in the museum and their experiences. It was entertaining and educational especially to those who love aviation and history. Good for solo travel due to secure environment of airport and museum. You have to show ID to access the museum since it is on their corporate campus adjacent to the airport. Also enjoyed the tour which was a group of about 15 other friendly people. Only sketchy part was leaving the airport. There were people begging near the Marta station but they left you alone if ignored.
Posted: February 5, 2024I've been to Atlanta many times. I've used the trains and walked around different kinds of neighborhoods. My only problem with Atlanta is that it's crowded. Besides that, I'm not a fan of southern food after a day or two because it's very unhealthy. But besides that, Atlanta is a cool city to visit. Lots of fun neighborhoods - downtown, midtown, northern part, and Buckhead. All are amazing.
Posted: September 30, 2023Food - Antico for pizza, Gios Chicken Almafitano is right next door and they serve the best chicken hot dogs ever. Sublime Donuts, The Varsity is a must-visit in Atlanta. Fox Bros BBQ. Ria's Bluebird for breakfast. Little Rey for a unique Mexican food experience (I suggest going there for brunch and ordering the pancakes!). Things to Do - Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, The National Center for Civil and Human Rights (all these places are within walking distance of each other and you can save money by buying a CityPass). If you like sports, Atlanta United (soccer) and Falcons play at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, which is an amazing place to visit, even when the Falcons lose another game. I love walking around Piedmont Park. We also have a few markets - Krog Street Market, Sweet Auburn Market, and Ponce City Market, which are good for eating/shopping/doing things. You can also rent a bike or a scooter and ride along the Atlanta Beltline. Have fun!
