Solo travel
Edinburgh I think is the perfect place for a solo trip (my first!). I stayed at the High Street Hostel which was really social and cosy. We went out with groups and I always felt safe. The whole area around the Royal Mile felt very safe. Visiting the castle is so worth it. Lots of interesting things to do here. Walkable and beautiful. Go up Calton Hill for a view.
