Solo travel experience
Tokyo was an amazing experience! The food was great, everything was very affordable, even the hotels! I meet some really cool people, other travelers and locals. I can’t wait to go again! I felt very safe there. No one tried to scam or harass me. People were helpful and mostly friendly. It felt safe to explore alone. The transit system was convenient and went everywhere, it made it easy to get around. Just finding the right train was the hard part. But the trains go constantly, so even if you miss your train, there’s always another one really soon after.

Couple travel experience
My husband and I spent 5 nights in Tokyo before heading to Kyoto and Osaka. We had a fantastic time staying in the Shinjuku area, which is where I recommend you stay because it’s very lively at night, and there’s easy access to public transportation. We were completely safe walking around at night! For a good ramen place, I recommend Kyushu in Harajuku. You get to pick your broth, meats, and toppings. It’s kinda small and cramped but it was the best ramen I had in my life.

Solo travel experience
I felt safe in general but there was no more people on evening hours especially in Akihabara-the place i have been stayed-.Cafes are closing 8 pm.I went shibuya,ueno,akihabara,ginza and saw all touristic places.You should definitely try onigiri and kind of sushies.Desserts were amazing .Kobe beef was delicious.For breakfast i highly recommend cafe veloche and vie de france in akihabara.veloche is so quite and calm you can take a good rest.Vie de france has wide options for breakfast and kind of deserts.There are many good restaurant in Tokyo tower.For shopping ,if you are looking for elektronics you can go bic camera or yodobashi camera .For fashion you can visit ginza there are many brands over there but for basics ı recommend huge uniqlo building in ginza (9 layer) or you can go to shibuya and there is a shopping mall called 109.Place is so close to shibuya station .You can find any clothes for ant style or aesthetic
