Great time in Adelaide! Specially in February with the Adelaide Festival, one of the biggest festival in the world! We never felt unsafe in Adelaide, the food was great with a lot of choices. People were very nice and helpful.

Solo travel experience

I highly recommend visiting the Barossa Valley in the countryside, the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale (all of them have amazing vineyards and outstanding culinary opportunities). The area around McLaren Vale also has some of the most beautiful coastlines (Port Willunga/Aldinga Beach). The city of Adelaide is small, beautiful, and easy to get around. If you want to watch an AFL match while staying in Australia, the stadium in Adelaide is smaller and not as overwhelming as those in Melbourne and Sydney. Around East Terrace, there are great shops and dining spots. Peel Street and Leigh are other places not to be missed in Adelaide for atmospheric bars and food lovers. The famous Penfolds winery is also located 10 minutes from the city.

Solo travel experience

In Adelaide, I recommend going on winery tours either to Barossa Valley or to McClaren Vale, and visiting the central markets in the CBD to try local food and products.
