Jordan is generally considered to be a safe country to visit, and most areas are safe to walk around in during the night. However, it is always important to be aware of your surroundings and take the necessary precautions to ensure your safety. It is recommended to avoid walking alone at night, especially in unfamiliar areas, and to avoid carrying large amounts of cash or valuables. Additionally, it is best to avoid areas that are known to be dangerous, such as the border areas with Syria and Iraq.

I went on an 8-day solo tour to Jordan. It was my first solo trip post covid. Jordan is gorgeous and very safe. I saw Petra, Gerash, Amman, Wadi Rum, Mount Nebo, and the Dead Sea and spent a night in the desert with Bedouin people.
Posted: August 9, 2023I visited Jordan in March and had an amazing time! I spent two days exploring by myself before my friend joined me, and I felt safe even when I was out alone at night. I highly suggest renting a car if you can drive because it makes traveling and seeing places much more convenient. With the car, I was able to fit in a lot of activities during those two days that would have been difficult without it.

Approximately how much money did you spend at Petra Jordan for food/drink/souvenirs? I have a tour booked so entrance fees/tip are covered but I'm unsure how much money I should convert to Jordanian dinar as I'll only be in Jordan one day (land crossing from Israel).

Posted: November 24, 2022I’m thinking of visiting Wadi Rum desert in Jordan for 3 days (2 nights) but unfortunately, my budget is very small. Anyone of you has done that kind of tours? Do you have any suggestions maybe (tour guides etc)? I’d appreciate it a lot. I just want to make sure that I will book something legit and safe.
