Violent crime rates are low and most likely, the biggest issue might be dealing with minor touristic scams. It's still advised to be cautious especially during night hours, avoid deserted areas and always keep your belongings secure. As anywhere, it is also important to respect local customs and traditions.

Hoi An is relatively easy to navigate for solo female travelers. The city is compact and it's possible to reach most places by foot or bicycle. Solo travel experience

Hoi An is the most magical city I have ever been to. It's small, but there is so much to do. I took a bike trip to My Son Temple, did a basketboat ride in a neighboring village, went to the night market, and did a food tour.

Solo travel experience

I spent a week in Hoi An, unfortunately during one of the busiest times of the year and it was not pleasant for me. I really tried, but this place resembled a crowded theme park, filled mainly with large groups of tourists from China. I did a few nice things, but still felt overwhelmed and simply uncomfortable.
