Hoi An is generally very safe for (solo) female travellers. Locals are very welcoming and friendly and I've never experienced a situation where I felt I was in danger. I advise to take normal precautions such as paying more attention when alone at night time or going out to a bar by yourself.

Do: definitely get a custom dress from a tailor, it costs around 50-70usd, but you can customize it to your liking. Go to the rice fields, it’s super beautiful. Try all local food. If you are a competent driver, get a scooter.
