Walking around the city is safe during the day and usually also at night, but as always, exercise usual caution.

Kielce is quite manageable for solo female travelers. The city is navigable with a mix of walking and public transportation options, including buses and taxis. Major attractions are within reach and locals are generally helpful. However, the signage might not always be in English and public transportation schedules can be erratic, particularly during non-peak hours.

It also offers numerous hiking trails in the Swietokrzyskie Mountains, providing stunning views and peaceful retreat for outdoorsy travelers. The town offers a taste of authentic Polish culture, with local restaurants serving traditional Polish cuisine. Despite being a smaller city, the experiences are enriching.

Kielce offers a satisfactory and diverse mix of culinary experiences. Authentic Polish cuisine is a delight to the senses with pierogi, kielbasa, bigos and other traditional dishes served in cozy eateries. Beyond local cuisine, you can also find restaurants offering international fare. Foods from Italian, Japanese and other international cuisines can be found here. Vegetarians and vegans also have decent options. However, while the food scene is diverse and generally high-quality, it doesn't quite match the level of culinary destinations like Krakow or Warsaw.

Kielce are a small town in Poland, and it is very safe place. Locar people are friendly and they live in very calm way. There are a lot of older people, that want to talk with you, like they were your grandparents, and it is very sweet.
