Khumbu, being a mountainous area of the Himalayas, poses some challenges in navigating. Although the area is renowned for its trekking routes, it requires some physical fitness and preparation. Homestays, teahouses, and lodges are often scattered, with some considerable distance in between. Furthermore, being in a remote area, signals for phones and internet may not always be reliable. Don't forget to bring a map, as signage isn't very prevalent. Nonetheless, local Sherpas are hospitable and helpful which makes the traveling experience more enjoyable.
