Japanese people are generally respectful and helpful to tourists. Also, public transportation is reliable and functions well into the night. As always, it pays to secure your belongings and be aware of your surroundings, however, instances of theft or harassment are significantly less than in many other global cities.

Navigating Naha is moderately easy for solo female travelers. The city is small enough to explore on foot and its public transportation, like buses and monorail, is reliable and efficient. English signage is also adequately available. However, communication might become slightly challenging as English is not widely spoken by locals. Couple travel experience

I really enjoyed Naha, I stayed with my boyfriend and our accomodation was pretty good for two people. We had our own bathroom and also kitchen (my boyfriend is vegan and its not thaaat easy to find vegan affordable vegan food). The people were very helpful and nice and every corner looked absolutely beautiful!! Yui Rail was such a cool transport system and the beaches were very pretty!
