I'm from Tel Aviv and here's my list of top things to do and see: 1. The beach - Tel Aviv is a beach city and if you like sunny beaches you’re in the right place. Go for a swim or just walk or cycle along the promenade. 2. Jaffa - This is an ancient city adjacent to Tel Aviv. Visit Jaffa Port and the flea market and take a tour of the old city. 3. The markets - Tel Aviv has some great food markets. Visit the Carmel Market in the city centre for fresh Middle Eastern delicacies and the Levinsky Spice Market for herbs, spices and dried fruit. 4. Bauhaus architecture - This is one of Tel Aviv’s most unique features: it has the largest number of Bauhaus houses in the world. You can take a Bauhaus tour to learn about it! 5. Enjoy the nightlife - Tel Aviv has a great bar and club culture and an excellent music scene. There is something on every night of the week and people go out late. 6. See some art - The Tel Aviv Museum of Art has excellent exhibitions featuring both Israeli and international artists. There are lots of small art galleries around the city too. 7. Hayarkon Park - A massive park with sports facilities, a river and a lake, a bird sanctuary and small gardens worth discovering. 8. Eretz Israel Museum - A place to learn about the history, culture and archaeology of Israel.
