Is Mitzpe Ramon safe for women?

It feels safe to me, everyone knows everyone so if someone starts harassing us we tell each other to stay away from them .. I myself have not been harassed or bothered before, it's a safe place overall

On paper or is a very very safe town, especially for travellers. There is always a slight vigilance for me, because there are creeps everywhere, and I've heard stories of some weirdos here as well, but I've never been physically threatened. I always lock my door, as a precaution, but many of my friends around town leave their houses unlocked and usually everything is fine

Israel

Mitzpe is a beautiful small town in the middle of the Negev desert, on the cliff of a giant Machtesh (which means a water eroded crater) You can sublet an apartment for pretty cheap, find an Airbnb or even a posh hotel. There are several places to eat different types of foods - Paco ve Nani have the best pizza, Sumsumia have some high class food, Cafe Gina and Cafe Kibbutz have wonderful baked goods, drinks and food. They're both perfect for digital nomads looking for a place to work. Aside from the peace of the desert there are many cultural events almost daily, lots of art, dance, circus, music and good vibes. Most people get around town by foot or bycicle, but there are also buses that pass through town on the way out to the big city and hour and a half away. Mitzpe is relatively safe at all hours of the day and night. If you're out in the late hours you might even get to see some nocturnal wildlife crossing the roads in a rush, searching for food. I've seen dozens of foxes and jackals (very non-threatening). Highly recommended experience
