Rhodes, is generally a safe destination for solo female travelers. The locals are friendly and are used to welcoming tourists from all over the world. However, as with any travel, one should always be cautious, especially while visiting crowded areas. Solo travel

I felt safe, everything was good, lots of activities, wonderful beaches, beautiful clean sea. Just be careful, as there are many people on scooters and sometimes they don’t want to stop to let you cross at designated pedestrian areas. I had a small budget for 4 days, but I was able to find many affordable places to eat (local spots). Avoid restaurants with lots of tourists - they’re expensive compared to other places. Try moussaka, gyros, delicious ice cream, and seafood.

Family travel

Everyone was kind, I felt safe Especially when me and my brother went to Prasonisi (we traveled there from Kokymbia) by bus everyone was helpful and once at the beach, which was enormous, we felt safe enough for leaving our backpacks on the sand while having a swim

Solo travel

I was in rhodos in January, the first night alone, the rest with a female friend. When i was on my own i didn't feel super safe. There are mostly men outside and I was not sure how kind they were... until i talked to a few and they were all very nice and friendly. We got around by bus. You can trust Google maps with the timings. Buy lots of fresh veggies and fruit, its so cheap! The Hummus is really good too.

Family travel

I felt safe, it was a very good experience overall. The island is not too big, so you can be satisfied after a week, but still be able to come back and discover more. It’s really pretty and you should visit the old part.

I felt that Rhodes old town was safe to walk around in both during the days and night. I was wish with my girlfriend and we didn’t have any guys pulling and following us like in other countries I have been in. The food was really good, I live Greek food. I am also gluten intolerant and almost every retrace both pizza and pasta the was gluten free and they where really helpful with explaining what was in the food. I really love the green people m, I think k they are nice and always very helpful. I will do my first solo trip to Rhodes in April, and felt safe and thought it was a good place to to my first solo trip ☀️🌴

Actually I lived here for many years never felt anything of the above. I even leave my car unlocked and my house unlocked as well when I go to sleep. At least in my village it’s as safe as it can be ❤️
