Is Vinh safe for solo female travelers?

Vinh isn't a highly touristic city, but it's very safe and inviting for solo female travelers. The locals are quite friendly and go the extra mile to help foreigners. Riding alone on a cyclo-rickshaw after dark is not advisable but otherwise, the city is safe even at night. Pickpocketing and motorbike theft are rare, but as in any city, sporadic cases can occur so it's advised to take care of personal belongings. Public transport is also generally safe for women.
