Is Saint Thomas worth visiting?

Solo travel

I was in St. Thomas alone and had a great time. I recommend taking the ferry to St. John. There are many small shops and restaurants right next to the ferry. All the beaches were amazing.

Solo travel

A year ago, I visited Saint Thomas on my own. I stayed right by Sapphire beach. It's a really nice neighborhood, plus it's a gated community, so I felt safe at all times. It's also not far from Red Hook, where all the restaurants are, and from the ferry to St. John. I rented a car and travelled around the whole island. I felt safe throughout my entire stay there. I also booked a one-day snorkeling trip and I highly recommend it.
