Is Olten Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

I think it is very safe, nothing can happen to you as long as you go about your business normally. The people are normal, the streets, everything really, so you don't need to be afraid to travel here.

Olten is a small town and therefore relatively safe. The area around the train station can get a bit sketchy, especially at night. There are a lot of drug addicts and alcoholics living here, but they’re usually kind. I’ve been catcalled often when walking home alone. Apart from that, Olten is very peaceful, with lots of tourists and elderly people especially during the day.

Overall very safe. The only thing you have in Olten are some dodgy characters hanging around in places like the train station. But these are 99% harmless. I‘ve never experienced harassment myself or in my closest circle.

I life in olten or nead olten my whole life. To myself, nothing ever happened. Sure thing, that there isnt no crime at all, but i feel like its a pretty safe city. Although you could get confronted with druggies, if youre at the trainstation after like 10pm or something. But there are usually security around to keep you safe.

Very safe city, there is almost no rubbery, you can walk alone during day or night, the public transport is very safe and on time, you can go out easily alone, i never had any bad experiences here

Olten is a pretty safe place. There are a few dodgy places and i wouldn't linger around the trainstation at night alone for an extended amount of time, if you can avoid it. But I've been living here for 3 years now, and never had any bad experiences. I am very aware of my surroundings though if I'm walking home alone at night, but I do that anywhere ;)
