Martigny is a small town in the middle of the Swiss alps, super safe with a lovely and helpful population! All public places feel and are very safe, including bars at night or public transports at any time.

From my experience crime isn’t common, not more than any average sized city. I personally don’t like walking at night alone but nothing bad happened to me or my friends at night that I know of. The biggest threat to the city are teenagers (who will just stare at you).
