Locarno is super safe, I often walk alone in the dark, never felt particularly in danger. I've lived here since childhood and in the years I've heard some stories (like maybe 2) about assaults, particularly on women, but I guess it is just because nowhere is paradise, and compared to the many years I've been here, you still have to be prudent in general. Public transport is very safe and controlled, but also you can't find it till late in the night, so it can happen you have to walk. I've always enjoyed my night walks anyway. In the streets catcalling happens, and at parties or in the crowded bars in the summer I've experienced some unpleasant situations, but nothing you couldn't find everywhere else.

I'm terrible at writing personal descriptions, but here we go. I'm half Finnish, half Swiss, which might explain why I sometimes come off as a bit cold and reserved. But don’t be fooled—beneath the icy surface, there's a solid dose of dry Nordic humor and a surprising ability to have fun (eventually). I have a pretty low social battery, but when it's charged, I genuinely enjoy spending time with humans too. I love sarcasm, dark humor, and conversations that go beyond small talk. I've hardly ever traveled solo—honestly, I don’t even know why (ahem *men* coughs). But I guess now is the time to start.
