Andermatt is generally very safe for solo female travelers. The crime rate is low, the locals are welcoming and helpful, and it's well-lit and busy, even at night. In addition, the public transportation system is excellent and safe. Nevertheless, normal safety precautions such as not leaving items unattended and being aware of your surroundings are advised.
