I stayed for 7 days in a hotel which had a minute walk to the centre. My hotel was around 100 per night and my budget for food and activities was €30 per day which was easily achievable. I felt very safe walking at night in the city centre, and the people were very friendly. Not everyone speaks english so try to learn a few basic spanish sentences

I've only been here for 2 days so far but fell very safe most of the time. A plus is definitely that there are quite a lot of female taxi drivers that make me feel safer when I need to get home in the dark.

I think it’s pretty safe. I never had any negative experience besides some people asking for money on public parkings that are supposed to be free of charge. You can always just say you don’t have cash on you
