Is Cartagena safe for solo female travelers?

Cartagena is a city where you can feel very sure. It’a small city but you can do all activities as you want to do it, such as running, bicicling, climbing mountains. In addition, you can go to different beach like La Manga.

Cartagena is a very safe city for everything one. There are only a few places I wouldn't visit due to drug dealing and bands but they are very far from the center and in general I have always felt safe here. People are typically friendly when addressed but they tend to mind their own lives.

Cartagena’s historical town is the safest part of the city and felt very safe walking around as two girls in the dark. The rest of the city was very different and we heard many horror stories of people being mugged and held at gun point.

Cartagena is safe, but like in all places, it also depends on where you’re going, if you go to dangerous neighborhoods you probably will be in danger, more if you’re a foreigner, be careful with that girls.
