Is Namwon safe for solo female travelers?

Namwon is generally very safe. It's a small city with a low crime rate. Most people are friendly and willing to help if needed. However, like any city, basic precautions should be taken especially during the night time. Public transportation is reliable and taxis are safe and efficient. Both can be used without worries. Understanding a bit of Korean or having a translation application will be beneficial as English is not widely spoken.
