Is Cyangugu Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Cyangugu, is relatively safe for solo female travelers. Like in many parts of the world, you need to take regular safety precautions. The crime rate is comparatively low, and locals are generally friendly and welcoming. However, it's worthwhile to avoid secluded places after dark, and always keep personal belongings secure. Public transportation is safe but it's recommended to hire private vehicles or taxis especially when travelling at night. Rwanda police have a good presence throughout the country which contributes to safety.
