Everyone is generally friendly and helpful. I have walked around my neighbourhood at midnight alone and it’s safe. I just don’t personally do that often just in case there are drunk people on the streets.

In general Puchong is very safe for solo female traveler, the only safety issue is the snatch thief who operates on motorcycle and target handbags and phones, so it is advised that you do not hold your phone while you walk and keep your handbag close to your body when you walk around busy area. I generally avoid walking alone in unlit area after dark, but if there is businesses around it is generally safe.

I enjoy the outdoor, love my peace and quiet but also enjoy making new friends. I recently decided to take a long break from work and will be traveling a lot more and for longer period than before, so am hopeful to meet the locals and perhaps go for hike or walk or just grab a cuppa. Buzz me when you are in KL, I would love to be able to show you Malaysia as the locals see it.
