Is Karaganda Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Karaganda is a safe town with warm people. It’s a small town, the streets are not very busy, and it’s quite safe to be outside at night since we always have police checking the streets. You can walk up to someone and ask for help or directions and you won’t be left alone, if you ever face a problem.

I think the city is generally pretty safe, especially downtown and during the day. At night, like anywhere else, it’s best to avoid loud groups around nightlife spots and poorly lit areas. It’s better to stick to busy areas, since the police patrol them regularly here.
