Is Baghdad Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Cultural norms, especially around gender, can be restrictive, and being a foreign woman might draw unwanted attention. Moreover, local law enforcement may not be as responsive or efficient. Travel advisories often advise against all non-essential travels due to these risks. However, some parts of the city that are heavily guarded, like the Green Zone, offer a level of safety and security. It's thus crucial to stay informed and exercise extreme caution at all times.

There are areas that are very populated and obviously ok to walk in because you see much crowd or much shops for example. But for example, I wouldn't say it's so safe for a girl to walk in an unknown area at night by herself when the if that area doesn't have people walking around or crowds.
