I Solo traveled to Georgia last summer. It was a great experience. Tbilisi is a lively city, with a lot of internationals, so it’s easy to connect and find new people to share your experiences with. Starting in Tbilisi it’s easy to get to the nature - either by taxis, which are okeyish cheap, or you hop on a bus that carries you throughout the country. I always felt safe and all people I met - Georgian and internationals were lovely.
Posted: August 14, 2025Tbilisi is safe, just be careful with taxi drivers (only book via bolt app - taxi will cost 5-7 lari) and avoid Parlament demonstrations (aggressive against Russian speaking ppl). There are a lot of street dogs, most of them are totally friendly but avoid the ones that live outside the city Center. I recommend eating at lolita, radio cafe, sircha x chicka, ratto, mint and maizen
Posted: August 4, 2025Try khacapuri and khinkali at cafe daphna, go to zurab t. Museum and monument, walk around the old town and try some georgeus geprgian wines. I recommend you to stay at fabrika hostel. It was so much fun i had great time in georgia/tblisi and felt safe at any hour 🖤
Posted: July 29, 2025Experienced: July, 2025Very safe for women. Even walking at noght in the street no body looking or bothering you. Travelled there 2 weeks as a L couple and all good. People were very helpful and kind. Most people know russian more than english. Definitely be careful if hiring a car especialy in Tblisi they drive a bit crazy. Would definitely recomend.
Posted: July 3, 2025Experienced: June, 2025I was in Tbilisi in the summer and it was a wonderful time. The prices are cheap especially if compared with Europe. The food is very delicious and you can find all the cuisine you want, not just the local ones. I visited many bars with different audiences, some of them were people from the UK, USA, and Europe, and some bars are usually visited by local people. There are many concerts in this city. Public transport is very safe, especially the metro. I used the metro at night and felt pretty well, no creepy strangers or robbers. It's easy to go to any city in this country by train, plane, or bus so you can see the mountains or the black sea 🌊

I can say that it's a very safe place compared with other countries I've visited, you can walk at night safely here and most of the people are nice and friendly. Taxi drivers are usually friendly. It's better to take taxi by application, can't tell anything about hitch-hiking during the night, probably I'd never do that
