Antofagasta is very safe during the day. Only during the night it get kinda weird, it’s very important that you stay away from the Main Streets downtown because they are known for prostitution and drug dealing, I would also avoid walking alone at night anywhere lol

In recent years Antofagasta has not been the most peaceful or safe, especially certain areas like the center, which have become increasingly dangerous. Although that does not take away from the beautiful sunsets and clear skies.
