Safety at night:Moderate
Sen Monorom, a small town nestled in the heart of Cambodia's eastern highlands, is generally safe. However, walking alone at night can still pose certain risks especially for solo female travelers. The town is relatively quiet with limited street lighting, potentially making you a target of burglary or petty theft. Moreover, some areas may not have well-maintained paths, which can result in falls or injuries. Although violent crimes are rare, safety precautions are still encouraged. Always stay attentive to your surroundings and avoid wearing flashy or expensive items at night. If possible, arrange your activities during daylight hours or consider taking a tuk-tuk or taxi when traveling at night.
