Mackinaw City, charmingly nestled at the very tip of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, is a captivating destination known for its extensive historical significance and immense natural beauty. I spent an evening, a night and a morning travelling with a van by myself and it was so very calm. One of the only restaurant open was an Irish Pub. Good but so bloody expensive (30$ for a burger with sweet potato fries) but maybe it’s just the US prices. 
I slept in my van and was absolutely safe & quite. 
There's a lot of historical things all arout and the lakes views. 
Just a bit too cold at that time of year. 
A bit late would be more interesting I guess
