Hi! My name’s Elwira, and since last year I’ve been really enjoying my solo trips. I’m very flexible and can easily adapt to any circumstances. I like to talk, but I’m also fine with staying quiet if needed – whatever works! 😊 Apart from being a student of linguistics, I’m also a lawyer. I can communicate fluently in Polish, Russian, and English, and I know a bit of Ukrainian and French as well. This winter, I’m super excited to explore the North! (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Latvia). I’m also planning to visit the UK, including Edinburgh and the Shetland Islands. Oh, I also love discovering new places and meeting interesting people along the way! ❤️

Magdalena
Poznan

Hi! My name is Magdalena, I'm a 19 years old psychology student living in Poznan, Poland 🇵🇱 (a 500k city in the western part of the country). I love travelling across the world, discovering new places and learning about different cultures, preferably while meeting great people and making memories that will stay with me for a long time😊 I'm usually a very active type of traveller - I'm always down for walking tours and sports activities, but also visiting art galleries/ museums to learn about the history of the place that I'm visiting.🎨 I'm more than happy to give advice for anyone who would like to travel to Poland, since I've been in almost every major city, so feel free to ask for anything! ❣ I'm not always available for hosting, but I'm happy to share some space and spend some time together if you ask in advance😊

Warsaw is a safe place for women traveling alone. I travel there very often due to university. It is super easy to get around as public transportation is comfortable and organized. You can download the app Jakdojade to get around Warsaw and you can also buy transportation tickets from there. I always felt safe during the night as well, a part from some drunk men that might approach during the night in the city centre. However, if you just tell them to leave they will leave. It is cheap and there’s many supermarkets named Zabka that sell many quick meal options for cheap.
Posted: January 18, 2025I felt quite safe during my visit to Łódź. The city is vibrant and has a lot to offer. A must-visit is Piotrkowska Street, one of the longest commercial streets in Europe, filled with shops, cafes, and street art. The Manufaktura complex is also impressive, with its mix of history, shopping, and dining. For food, I recommend trying traditional Polish dishes at Anatewka or enjoying a modern twist at Gastromachina. If you’re a coffee lover, stop by Kawiarnia Kawa na Ławę. I stayed at a centrally located hotel which was comfortable and provided easy access to main attractions. Public transport in Łódź is well-connected and affordable, with trams and buses running frequently. My budget was moderate—I spent around 150 PLN per day on meals and transport. If you’re planning a visit, set aside time to explore the OFF Piotrkowska area for its unique atmosphere and local shops. Would definitely return!
