One of my favorite places🤍 The whole Bay of Kotor is so breathtaking and definitely worth a visit. I've been there twice, once in January for two weeks and then in July for a couple of days. I always felt safe even walking alone after dark (safer than in Finland which is a lot to say). I was one of the only turists in January which made it more special in my opinion, though swimming in these landspaces in July was a magical experience. It didn't get overgrowded even in July, smaller towns remained quiet. Best time to visit in my opinion would probably be late spring / fall. There is a lot to do, you can wonder around almost any town/village around the bay and they all have really beautiful architecture and amazing views of the sea & mountains. There are also a lot of hikes and boat trips you can take. If you stay longer you can also take the bus to Croatia or Bosnia and Herzegovina. They also have pretty good bus connections around the bay, so you don't need to rent a car if you don't want to. I used the busses and it was easy to get around. Not everyone speaks english but everyone is kind and tries their best to communicate. (Men might randomly try to flirt but they are not pushy). Overall the people are very respectful and welcoming. Prices are affordable. Boats trips were around 5-15€. I mostly ate at local grills where meals cost around 5-7€. In restaurants they are 10-15€. (Food overall is great and similar to other countries in the balkans like Croatia) I honestly can't think of anything negative and would definitely recommend to everyone who has a change to visit!
