I felt safe overall but it does feel sketchy at night depending on what district you’re in. Apartment district 10 is really sketchy in the evenings, but we were in district 6. I didn’t really see many women walking around at night alone, but I did see some. Mostly with dogs. I would be cautious but definitely on the safer side if you’re in a tourist district.

Overall the travel around the city was very easy. Travelled there with my fiancee and we felt very safe in Budapest even at late hours. The food was delicious especially the meat products. And the buda part of the city was like a fairytale
