Very safe, especially for women.
Fun in wintertime, best at -20°. Snowshoeing, cross country and downhill skiing, winter hikes, reindeer on the roads, dog sledging, snow scooter and fat biking, sauna - a ton to do. 
Local food, especially reindeer, is tasty. Easy to get around even with public transport, KTT airport not far. 
Prices went up a bit since Corona.
