Is Cuba safe for female travelers?

I was in Cuba towards the Resorts with my family and the workers there were very nice to me and my family. I felt safe walking at night around by myself and met some great people from other countries.

I welt safe when in groups, but that might be because I only speak rudimentary Spanish. The food was mainly chicken, rice and beans. It is very affordable, but can get repetitive after a couple of weeks. Especially for a vegan diet its not the best country. The people were amazing though, very mice and open to chat. And the country is beautiful and very interesting with its history. I don't think you get quite this authentic an experience in most countries anymore.
