I stayed here at my aunt's house for a few days. It was pretty safe. There are taxis to get around but also some parts are walkable. Where my aunt lived there were stores of all kinds within walking distance. The best place was the Deli cocktail. They are open at night and serve blended cocktails with candies in them. They also have virgin ones for the kids or if you're not feeling the alcohol.
