This city is also remembered for its darker past marked by the reign of the Khmer Rouge, with the chilling reminders such as the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields. Amidst this history, Phnom Penh has evolved to feature a bustling, rapidly changing café scene, dynamic nightlife and a diverse food culture that draw the attention of global travelers.
