Is Mar del Plata worth visiting?

The ugliest restaurants were the highest quality. There are always traveling exhibits at El Torreón. It's not very safe at night near Playa Grande. The taxi drivers told us that it wasn't a good idea to use Cabify near the bus station because there's competition between them.
