I consider myself a citizen of the world, but especially a South American. I've lived all my life in Argentina, was born in Brazil and my granny is from Paraguay (one of the few countries in South America I still need to visit). I like to learn from the environment in which I move. In these years of travel and life, I learned that life is too short to try to be someone else than myself, every day I'm working on avoiding expectations and accepting things as they are. I like to do meditation, walk in the mountains, be near nature, do things I've never done before and learn from them, have deep conversations about life with people I don't know, be near places, situations and people that might be extremely different from me but I can learn from those differences. I've been traveling with my husband for 7 years and a year ago we decided to buy a house in our country Argentina next to the mountains in Merlo San Luis. When we travel we don't like conquering the must-see places when we travel and follow the touristic path everyone does. Our success in travel is to understand each culture well enough and mingle with the locals. We prefer going to places locals would go, discover new places in that way, and end up on a birthday or wedding rather than just visiting those really impressive places packed with tourists. That's also why we love hitchhiking, staying in local's houses and meeting them randomly so much, because we end up knowing places we never expected to visit, meeting people we didn't expect to meet and always learning new ways of life, traditions and also in a way learning more about ourselves. Otherwise we just visit places but we don't go through a real inner transformation, adapting to new culture and rules is something magical. By the way, I'm a translator as a profession but it's been many years I'm teaching Spanish and host a podcast to teach Argentine culture and traditions.

Hey! My name is Martina Guadalupe Ferrara. I'm 26 years old and I'm Libra with moon and ascent in Leo. I used to study Tourism at the University and I have a aeronautical license as a flight attendant but never worked in the industry. I am also a volunteer in the Red Cross since I study first aids and RCP. I have a nice and shy cat. His name is "Mushu" like the dragon in Mulan. I also have a dog called "Hipolito" but he lives with my parents 4km away. I live alone since I was 20 and work since I was 15, not for necessity, only for choice. I love being outside and in the nature. While I am in vacation, I love trekking, try new foods and get in touch with coultures.

I feel pretty safe, except in Buenos Aires. Someone tried to robber me twice, just because my ex partner was Argentinian, and literally he saved me. The cost outside Buenos Aires are very accessible, you can find local food very cheap. But Argentina has magic in some restaurants that can be expensive. In La Boca, the most popular area in Buenos Aires, you can get a 2 people meal for $120 USD 🫠 (kind of expensive). But I tried the best pizzas ever.
Posted: August 12, 2025Experienced: January, 2025Honestly, you do have to be careful, especially with the motorcycle thieves. I didn't feel very safe. It's quite dangerous from my perspective, but it's definitely a beautiful place. I recommend keeping your phone and wallet inside your clothes or in your bra so when they take your backpack, they don't steal anything important. The people there are very kind and polite, 10/10. My budget at the time was much lower and it was enough for several things. Now that the currency has gone down, I can't explain how much I spent and how expensive it was. I stayed at a relative's house; it wasn't as comfortable, but it was what I had. Getting around is fairly easy on the buses and trains; just ask for good directions; it's a big city!
