About me

Hi there! Love travelling and always appreciate contact, help and advise from locals… would love to do the same for people visiting Switzerland, Bern. Speak German (Swiss Dialect and Standard German), French, English, a bit Italian and some words Hindi. If you contact me, please write more than just „hello“. I don‘t react to „only-hello“-messages. I‘m also not interested in pen pals. (You get for sure an answer if you ask for getting hosted, tough, also if it‘s negative!)

Is Bern safe for women?

I think Bern is really safe. The people are really nice and they will moustly help. I woul same the best and safest place is along the River the Aare. It is really nice to stay and swim in Summer and it is also really safe.

Switzerland in general is pretty safe and Bern especially. Even tho it can be considered as the capital, it is very small and quiet. It gives a bit of a village vibe. As a girl I always felt very safe even alone at night, walking, using public transportation or taking an uber. As a woman no place is 100% safe but it is one of the safest place I’ve been living in.
